About Jessica Rose – Jessica Rose is the artist behind vol25. Jessica named her shop vol25, because she opened her shop shortly after turning 25 and it was like opening a new volume in her life. 1. How do you describe your work?
Whimsical art with a modern flare that hopefully leaves you with the warm fuzzies. 🙂
2. What are your inspirations in your art and life?
Inspiration comes in many forms. A trip to the mall brings up new color combinations I can’t wait to try. Quotes however, remain my favorite source of inspiration.
3. What do you do to help feed your soul?
Drawing and painting really is a nice tension release for me. Taking the time to play with my girls (4 yrs. and 8 mos) really helps me to rejuvenate and I afterward I feel as though I have fed my soul. 🙂

K*smith is a shy girl who loves nothing more than sitting back and discovering the hidden beauty in people and in objects. After the loss of her dog (and best friend) of eight years, Humbert, she decided that she needed a release for her sadness. 1. How do you describe your work?
I create stories through people. I work mostly with ink and colored pencil on recycled wooden panels. I wholeheartedly LOVE every character that comes out of my pen. Everything is a magnificent choice for me..the type of wood I will use, the grain, a male or female, old or young…
2. What are your inspirations in your art and life?
I am most inspired by my grandparents (which is probably why I love to draw people who are “young at heart”), old houses, hardwood floors, antique furniture. Basically, I love everything that tells a secret story and has a hidden beauty.
3. What do you do to help feed your soul?
I surround myself with the people I love the most~ My husband & family, my lovely dogs (yes, they are secretly people), and all of my amazing friends.
