I can’t remember where I first discovered the work of Australian artist Madeleine Stamer…it may have been design*sponge, print & pattern or some other blog, but whatever the case may be, I was saving her to feature on a rainy day. Being that it is a rainy TGIF: Thank God for Illustration Friday, I thought it was time to share her lovely work. Using primarily black & white or bold color combos, Madeleine’s distinctive work can be decribed as a mix of the Day of the Dead, Scandinavian design, Frieda Kahlo and folk art in general.
