Day 4 of the silent auction to benefit the people of Haiti is here. All goods have been donated some very  generous indie  shops and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross International Response Fund

Be sure to visit the Haiti Relief Fundraiser page for all the details.

How does it Work? Each day I will share a new batch of items you can bid on via the comments. You will be able to see everyone’s bids and rebid if you get outbid. The highest bidder will win the item and pledges the amount bid towards the Red Cross International Response Fund. The item will then be sent out in the mail to you from the artist, crafter or designer who donated it.

How to Bid. Leave a comment on this post with the following:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • the item number
  • your bid amount

Keep checking back throughout the day to see if you have been outbid. I will do my best to keep up with moderating comments, so you will be able to see everyone else’s bids. If you are outbid, rebid! You may bid on multiple items, just be prepared to win! The goal is to raise as much money as possible!

Item # 1 – Plum Mums Album 8 x 10 Print from artkitten

This stunning book is the perfect size for a photo album, but would also make a perfect sketchbook (the inside paper is heavyweight and lovely) or a wedding guest book. It’s covered with a gorgeous fine paper with a golden floral pattern on a beautiful plum background, lapis book cloth and sewn together with waxed linen thread. Measures 6 1/2″ x 9 1/2″. Valued at $33

Item # 2 – Ivory Cowl from Phydeaux Designs

Ivory is such a lovely neutral shade for year round wear: warmer and more buttery than white, while a nice change from the pastels and brights of spring and summer! This beautiful cowl, which may also be worn as a neckwarmer, will keep you gorgeously warm and cozy all winter long! Hand knit with a chunky and warm wool blend in a beautiful ivory color with a stitch that creates diagonal texture and depth. It also has two gorgeous, fat caramel tortoise-shell like buttons to close. Size: 28.5″ (72.39 cm) long and 8.5″ (21.59 cm) wide. Machine washable (gentle cycle only please, secured in a delicates bag); however, I strongly recommend handwashing in cool or cold water using a gentle wash or shampoo. Dry flat. If you treat this cowl well, it will treat you well for years and years to come. Valued at $60

Item # 3 – Copper Heart Necklace from Yummy and Company

This necklace is made from recycled copper and hangs from a 16 inch sterling silver chain. The artist sources the copper from her husband who is a restoration carpenter. He brings home gigantic hunks of copper that she hand cuts, shapes and hammer until they are dainty and pretty! I then give the piece a patina and seal it with varnish so that it will keep it’s gorgeous coloring. Valued at $38
