The Indie Fixx Shop has closed its doors, but Indie Fixx the blog is still here!

I have some sad news news about the Indie Fixx Shop….I have decided to close up shop. Do not worry, I am NOT shutting down Indie Fixx the blog or the Indie Fixx Galleria. I will now have more time than ever to devote to them!
This is not a decision that I have made lightly, but one I have agonized over. Opening a boutique has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl. Other girls played house and school while I played shop. As I got older, I decided that one day I would open my own shop. This goal only strengthened as I started my own jewelry line (tiltingswiftly.com), and later Indie Fixx the blog, as did my interest in helping to promote other indie artists. My goal was to open an online boutique and later a brick and mortar shop. With the opening of the Indie Fixx Shop in 2007, I was finally able to bring my plan to fruition.
Right out of the gate, the Shop was successful and I have been very, very busy ever since the opening. That’s the problem, the Shop was too successful. Running a online shop is a very labor intensive endeavor and other aspects of my life had begun to suffer as a result. Over the holiday 2008 break, I did some soul searching and decided that I needed to prioritize my personal and professional life to reclaim some of my time. I sat down and made pro vs. con lists and really looked at how I was spending my time. Unfortunately, the shop came up as the big time hog. A difficult decision had to be made, so I decided to close the shop.
The official last day of the Indie Fixx Shop was March 15th.
Thank you to all my artists, designers and customers for believing in and supporting the shop. I love you all.
Stay tuned for new things from me and, of course, read Indie Fixx the blog!
