It snowed here a couple of days ago and I’ve been looking out out my window, while sitting in my office, and watching the cute little chickadees hop around on the snow.
Robins Egg Blue Chickadee Pendant by Silver, Beads & Clay for Mintd Friday.

Whoops a little late on my Mintd Friday posting—but, better late than never.
This Le Lapin pendant necklace is totally redonkulisciousally cute! You know I love me some bunnies.

The Mintd Friday pick this week is the Quilted Wrap Top from Isisis. It looks warm and soft and as I sit freezing in my studio, I wish I owed one so I could wear it over my ‘not warm enough’ t-shirt.

Mintd Friday is back from its hiatus last Friday. My pick this week are these cute felted heart hair pins from The Funky Felter. Choose your favorite color from over 20 available choices. I am personally addicted to hair pins, now that I’ve grown my bangs out longer, and I keep several at my desk so I can slide one on when my bangs fall into my eyes.

Yesterday it thunderstormed and just poured after weeks & weeks of no rain here. It’s been the worst drought in this area since 1964, so the rain was very welcome. I also love thunderstorms. In the honor of the rain, this post is dedicated to our local rain god. It’s also my Mintd Friday pick this week—the Thunderstorm Necklace by Sudlow Jewelry.

If you are a hot tamale, you really do need a pair of these hot pepper earrings from Stone Soup Jewelry. They are my Mintd Friday pick this week.

My Mintd Friday pick this week is the Circle of Life bracelet from 27things. The stretch bracelet is made from turquoise, Tibetan monk carved bone skulls and repurposed rosewood beads.

I like these personalized birdie cards with papaya envelopes from 12 fifteen paper goods, my Mintd Friday pick this week. I personally think I would choose to have them personalized with the name Holly Golightly and pay homage to one of the best ever characters from both literature and the big screen.

Do you ever have one of those days that you feel like making the face this guy is making? Well, I am having one of the days today and it’s not a pretty sight. I’m sure if you saw me, you would say, “Hmm, why is Jen sulking and pouting over in the corner making that sulky pouty face?” I would answer, “Funkety pouty pout-pout. Sulky sulk-sulk, bad mood today. Give me some chocolate, for gawd’s sake.”
Anyway, this Little Blue Meanie is now my new mascot and also my Mintd Friday pick for this week. By CLBcreations and available at Mintd.

Advertise your craftiness with the Silver Scissors Tee in black and white by Mintd seller Circular Accessories. I also like Simple Complexity in green and violet.

For this week’s installment of Mintd Fridays, I bring you the Brianna - ‘Hey Sunshine’ Handbag by Shagpile. It was hard to decide which bag of Shagpile’s to feature, as I also liked the Amanda Ladybug and the Taylor Ladybug and all of them are really just stunning. I like the quirky shapes, bright colors and that they are made from re-purposed 1970s fabrics.

This Mintd Friday find is by Dandelion Street. The Tiered Rose Petal Necklace is made from real rose petals and is just absolutely stunning. I cannot imagine anything more splurge worthy than this lovely, lovely piece and I can only imagine the compliments one would get while wearing this memorable jewelry design.

Well, they do say that time really flies when you are having fun and I can sure attest to that, since Indie Fixx is turning one-year-old today, August 6th, and I can’t honestly say where the time has gone. I know that I’ve discovered a lot of amazingly talented and creative indie crafters, artists and designers over this first year. I have also met a lot of really super nice people including my blog friends, readers and indie shop owners. It was one year ago today that I wrote my very first post about Wendy Mink and it’s a real whirlwind ever since. Thanks for reading.
To celebrate my one-year anniversary, I’m having a great big contest. There are two ways to win. Firstly, when you enter the Indie Fixx 1st Anniversary Contest you will be entered into the random drawing for the Grand Prize, which includes prizes valued at $485 and donated by over 15 different indie shops. ***edited Plus, the first 200 people to enter the contest will win a swag bag made up of donated samples! The swag bags are all gone.*** Now that’s what I call a contest.

In addition to the 1st Anniversary Contest, I’m implementing some fun new features on Indie Fixx to celebrate my anniversary. It’s important to me to keep Indie Fixx fresh and interesting for both you and me and I am excited about these new features and I hope you will be too. (Continued)

Another new feature I am implementing on Indie Fixx is Mintd Fridays. Every Friday, I will feature a Mintd treasure that catches my eye, if I can keep it to just one that is. What is Mintd you ask? Mintd is an online buying and selling community for people who make and buy indie stuff. It’s headquartered in Australia, but you can buy and sell from all over the world. If you are looking for a place to sell your products or you are an indie buyer looking to buy some some cool indie stuff, then definitely check out Mintd.
My first Mintd Friday treasure is this Treasure Box from Sixth & Elm. The box is 8” wide by 8” deep and 2” high and is perfect for cards, jewelry, keys, trinkets or other treasures. One can never have boxes to hid one’s treasures.
