Since Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby isn’t coming out until Summer 2013–it was pushed back from this December–I guess the next movie that I am looking forward to it Anna Karenina. Yes, I do have a thing for movies made based on literature….hmm, especially some British period dramas, oh my. I’m not sure that I expect this film to be amazing, one is so often disappointed when great books are made into movies, although, there is some hope since Tom Stoppard wrote the screenplay. I do expect it to be visually stunning though….that is something that the big blockbuster Hollywood movies of today seem to be able to do well. There is Keira Knightly too. I did like her in Atonement, which was very good, but not so much in Pride and Prejudice, which I found to be quite underwhelming.

I also realized that I”ve never read Anna Karenina. Time to go add it to my e-reader, because you know you have read the book before the movie comes out!
