What’s the big idea?

Last week I saw this meme on Facebook about a shower taking 27 minutes. 2 minutes for washing and cleaning your body + 25 minutes for thinking time. That’s totally me!

It got me to thinking about all the other places where I  come up with my best “big ideas”.

My Best Thinking Places

In the shower.

Over a cup of tea.

Laying on a blanket under a tree.

On a walk through the leaves.

Weeding the garden.

Whilst knitting and crocheting.

Baking bread, cookies or just about anything!

What are your favorite “big idea” thinking places?

  1. I always come up with the best stuff in the shower but half the time I forget what I was thinking by the time I get out. Lately I’ve been thinking over tea which is also fairly inspiring oh and delicious.

  2. Actually as I’m falling asleep hoping I remember the idea next morning, the middle of the night when I awake for no reason and I lay there dreaming up ideas, while crocheting & knitting, driving in the car, talking on the phone. I never seem to have my journal near me during these times. Don’t want to be writing while driving!

  3. My biggest one is while I’m in the tub, and the next biggest is while I driving alone on the highway looking at the scenery and listening to music. Especially looking at the big skies we have on the plains. The bad part is that they both make it hard to write down my ideas right away, and sometimes the really good big ones get away.

  4. Definitely on the bus. While it’d definitely be faster (and more expensive) for me to get a car, I feel like a lot of my best figuring-stuff-out-time happens during that idle time.
