So when I first started Feed Your Soul: the free art project in 2009, I never imagined that I would still be coordinating this project in 2011. Remember, I started this project in response to the recession that started in 2008 and honestly who thought that 2 years later the outlook would still look so grim for so many people? I sure didn’t.
That’s the situation we are in folks though….unemployment’s still high and the economic future holds a lot of uncertainty for many of us. But we don’t need to focus on that…it’s probably best that we don’t…instead let’s focus on bringing some good into our lives and the lives of others. That’s the thought behind the Feed Your Soul project.
Folks you don’t know at all, wonderfully generous artists, have created and shared free art just for you and me to enjoy and appreciate. How special is that?
I think it’s pretty special and that’s why I am reviving this project and bringing a renewed effort to it to keep it going for you + me + all of us.
Look for new contributions twice a month on Mondays.
Today’s contribution is from California born and raised writer, collage and digital artist Jan Weiss. Jan loves trendy art that pops and has been involved in the art publishing world in way or another, since the mid 90’s as an art coordinator, artist recruiter and even has experience on the retail side of things. She sells her own work through her Etsy Shop and keeps herself busy promoting her art and the art of others at The Art Planet.

This is wonderful! As an artist, for as much art as I sell, I give almost an equal amount away, just for the payment of a smile! How do I submit work to your project?
thank you, jolie!
you are so welcome, enjoy!
So cool! Thanks for this amazing project!
What a beautiful blog you have and so wonderful to see Jan’s work highlighted. I must bookmark and revisit!
