One of the things I did over my 3 day weekend was go on a hike in the woods mushroom hunting…not really for the purpose of foraging mushrooms to eat, but for photographing them. It’s actually one of things on my Summer Fun To-Do List and I promise I will share more about my mushroom hinting later, but for now this post is about my Summer Fun To-Do List.
Every summer, since I was a kid, I’ve planned out a summer wishlist of fun stuff that I want to do before the summer passes away yet again. I’ve never completed a Summer Fun To-Do List…summer always runs out before I can get to everything. Some things are saved for next year’s list and others are just the stuff of forgotten dreams of summers past.
There are plans that make it to every year’s list and that get checked off every year. Living an hour away from some of the best beaches on the Eat Coast, I pretty much love the beach and make sure to visit at least once a season. Sometimes we stay at the beach in a rented house, sometimes we camp and other times we just visit for the day, but we never miss a summer of visiting the ocean.
What about you? Do you have a Summer Fun To-Do List? If so, do you write down your list in your journal or make a list that lives on a bulletin board?
For me, I usually just keep it all in my head and it’s made up of the stuff of my imagination.
But, I decided to make a list to share with you some of the plans I have the rest of this summer….
I love the photo of the mushrooms and moss! it’s magical.
Not sure about my summer fun list. I try to go do something outside once a week, sometimes during summer it’s hard because it’s so stormy or hot. But so far I’ve done it between berry picking, going to the beach, and bird watching. I’m in Florida so it feels like it’s been Summer for a while already. A must is also to read some good books during those thunderstorms when everything electronic gets unplugged!
