This morning, I awoke to about 2 inches of snow on the ground and decided to go out for a walk around the yard and down to the creek. I haven’t been walking much since I hurt my knee late last year (torn cartilage) and I need to get back into the routine. A snowy landscape was just the motivation I needed to get my butt out the door, so I bundled up with my camera in hand and I headed out.
I was hoping that Pandora would want to frolic with me in the snow, but she just lifted her head from her cozy spot on the couch as I walked out the door. I did find evidence of her earlier trip out that morning. Little cat footprints in the snow, aren’t they adorable?
I walked to the state park and creek that’s about 1/4 mile from our house. I found a winter wonderland.
After a nice tromp in the snow, I was back at home to snap a pic of my paper snowflakes with a real snowy background. Now for some hot chocolate made with almond milk. yum.
The rest of my day is going to be filled with writing next week’s posts and working on the next issue of Joie. See you on Monday—have a nice weekend! xoxo
I always enjoy seeing kitty prints in the snow. For all the hustle and bustle in the world I am amazed that a little snow print can make me stop in my own tracks and marvel at the tiny, lovely, print. Thank you for posting that photo.
thanks!
