Handmade holidays: Russian Tea Cakes
Today I made some Russian Tea Cake cookies (also called Mexican Wedding Cookies & Snowballs). There are some cookies that are just quintessentially ‘Christmas Cookies’ and these are it in our house. They are perfect with tea and coffee. yum.
I used this recipe from imagine childhood (thanks to Soule Mama via twitter). I did substitute almond extract for the vanilla though and used a little less sugar.
What do you think are the quintessential Christmas cookies?

My mom makes these every Christmas and stores them in the same cookie tin that HER grandmother used for her Russian tea balls.
