Inspired by Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell of the Fabulous Beekman Boys and their home in this month’s Country Living mag, I made my own Winter Wonderland Table Centerpiece. I plan on using it on the table with a white tablecloth for our holiday morning brunch.
Material and Supplies:
Twigs
White paint
Flower arranging wire
Paper or plastic flowers ( I used fake white poinsettias)
Glitter paint (optional)
Fake snow
Vase or glass jar
Foam paintbrush
Wire clippers
Clippers
Other embellishments (like the white berries I used)
How-to:
- Gather twigs and cut to desired length with clippers. Spray paint, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow to dry. You want enough twigs for your flowers & extra to add fullness to the design.
- Once the twigs are dry, use the foam paintbrush to paint them with the glitter paint (optional). Allow to dry.
- Affix the flowers to the twigs using the wire. Use the wire clippers to snip off the extra wire.
- Add the fake snow to the vase. Then add flower twigs, other embellishments & extra twigs and arrange.
{ignore the popsicle sticks in the background. they are for another project.}
awesome. I am getting so into all the faux trees shown this year. This is the perfect solution to hold me over till next year when I can get a big giant blue tree! And this would be perfect to finish the room. Love your blog. 🙂
I love that glitter paint! I never would have though to use it to paint branches–fab idea:)
I just fell in love with that glitter paint <3
