Pinwheel Name Cards from Paper + Cup

craft + paper

I have a thing for pinwheels. They are whimsical, silly, charming and still make me giggle. What can I say, I’ve never really grown up.

If you like pinwheels too, but struggle with ideas to use them in ways that are more socially acceptable than running through the yard holding one over you head (who does that? not me, of course), this tutorial for making pinwheel name cards might be for you.

It’s from Minhee &Truman Cho’s book Paper + Craft: 25 Charming Gifts, Accents, and Accessories to Make from Paper. The pair are co-founders of Paper + Cup, a papers goods and stationery shop, so they know a thing or two about paper. Besides the pinwheel name cards, Paper + Craft has over 25 cute + clever paper projects for your paper crafting pleasure.  I like: the Birdie Mobile, Giant Paper Flower, Mustache Drink Toppers, Tissue Stars and Moon and the Cone Wreath (I’ve been dying to try that Cone Wreath as well, ever since getting a review copy of Paper + Craft).

Back to the Pinwheel Name Cards…click the link below for the instructions on how to make them. I’m thinking it might be fun to use some Autumn inspired papers and make some for the Thanksgiving table.
