The cutest Japanese stationery and a giveaway!

ginko papers japanese stationery

When Garin of Ginko Papers contacted me last week, I was instantly transported back to when I was 12.Β  The year was nineteen-eighty- something, and that summer I was put on a bus to go stay with my uncle, aunt and brand new little niece in Montclair, NJ. I had a wonderful two weeks with my family. They treated me very well…even took me into New York City into Chinatown, to the Strand and to visit the Dakota Building (where John Lennon was shot). I was sad to go home, but on my bus trip home, I met a JapaneseΒ  foreign exchange student who was not much older than me. She was very sweet and gave meΒ  some Japanese stationery and a bookmark….I still have them. They became instant treasures andΒ  I could never part with them. They were certainly a rarity at that time for a girl from small-town USA. Fast forward to today though and Japanese goodies are within reach for everyone, and isn’t that so grand?

Ginko Papers is one such place that stationery fiends can get their fix. The shop is filled with Japanese and Japanese-inspired postcards, stationery, stickers, calendars, erasers + more. Looking aroundΒ  the shop struck me with such nostalgia that I know I’m going to have to place an order…only this time I will share my goodies with my penpals from The Penpal Pproject.

Win some stationery goodies from Ginko Papers!

Leave a comment on this post with your favorites from the shop.
I will choose one random commenter to win a $35 gift certificate to Ginko Papers. Multiple entries will be accepted, but you must leave a separate comment for each entry.Β  This giveaway will end August 18th at 11:59 pm EST.
