I’ve had embroidery on the brain—remember I shared this post of embroidery patterns back in June? I’ve also recently joined the Flickr Embroidery Group and whiled away the better part of an afternoon looking at all the eye candy. I thought it only made sense to share some of favorite finds with you.
by ophelielechat – I really like the combination of embroidered pieces along with fabric wall art to create a lovely little collection of textile art.
by chunkychooky – What a wonderful way to use the french knot technique!
by georgia asphalt stitches – LOVE the variety of lettering in this sampler.
by GÓCBẾP – Look how neat and even those stitches are! Not to mention the hedgehog and owl. So cute and delightful.
by The Split Stitch – Love the texture of this butterfly piece.
by edward & lily- A simple, clean, dramatic example of really clever reuse of vintage fabric.
by Fourteen Countess (via Craftzine) – Ok, this is seriously one of the best examples of french knots and use of fabric ever!

These are amazing! I also love to display fabric remnants in embroidery hoops – it’s a good way to repurpose vintage fabric, pillowcases, etc. especially if they have a spot and are not usable as a whole.
yes, i agree. I think I may have a new collecting obsession to get started on…
Thanks a million for featuring my little french knots! I’m so glad I found your website– it’s so beautiful! I’ll be back often.
So welcome, shelly. Keep me posted on any new projects.
I always love embroidery eye candy!
