The new look!

I’m sure you have noticed, if you are reading this post, but it’s here! The new Indie Fixx look and update are here. I know you thought it would never come—I’ve only been teasing you with it for months, but man, it took months to complete!

So, what do you think. I’d love to hear your thoughts as well as have you check everything out and let me know if you see anything that looks wonky or anything that’s broken. I know search is broken, discovered that last night right before bed, and will I try to get that fixed later today.

Some of the new features that I want you to be particular attention to:

1. You can now subscribe to comments! Now, when you leave a comment you can choose to get email notifications about follow-up comments. I’m loving the discussion possibilities already. I know other blogs have had this feature for years, but I wasn’t ever able to because my version of WordPress was out of date. That’s just one of the problems of having your husband as your sysadmin.
2. At the bottom of each post, you will see a share it and save it ribbon. Hover over it, to share each post with your favorite social networking site as well email and/or bookmark it. I’d be so tickled if you wanted to pass around any of my posts!
3. While you are still down there at the bottom of the post, you might notice that there’s some suggestions for other posts you might like. Click on ’em, browse around, get lost for a hour or so. 😉
4. Check out the new banner and logo. I will miss my old woodland creatures banner (done by Liz Wong), but certainly not the logo (done by me). But, it was a time for a change and Anna of Lila Ruby King created the new banner and logo for me and I’m just so pleased with them.
5. There’s plenty of other new stuff, I won’t spoil all the surprises, but will let you discover on your own!
