I am back from vacation today! Yay! It’s nice to back with you, my dear readers.
Vacation was both good and bad…things didn’t exactly go as planned. Indie Fixx Jr. was sick for most of our time at the beach the week before last, and then last week was so stinking hot that we decided not to do our day trips (Philly, DC, among others). We made the best of things though and it was very nice to not do any work for 2 whole weeks. I didn’t even think about work, just took a breather…it was nice, I must say. But, I’m back now, refreshed and in full work mode. I am planning on sharing some of my vacation pics, for anyone who is interested, just have to go through them to see what turned out well.
Still planning on sharing the new Indie Fixx look as well. I know I’ve been talking about this for a long time now, but I swear it is coming! It’s been a little bit more work than I anticipated and I want to make sure that it is perfect. I hope to have it up this week.
I will also begin working on my new online called Joie Mag. It will be debuting this summer and I will be keeping you posted on its progress for sure.
So, onto the 1st order of business for today, the latest Feed Your Soul: the free art project free download. It’s been over a month since I’ve posted one. It’s been a combination of my vacation and just trying to coordinate new artists who want to participate in the project. It can be a lot of work facilitating this project (just ask Lucy the intern), and no disrespect is meant at all, but sometimes working with artists can be like herding cats! 🙂
Hopefully, we have a bunch of new artists lined up for July & August. Today’s lovely contribution is from Rachael Smith of Penelope and Pipe.

Bold bears, curious cats & the odd sweet little bird or two are just some of the friends that feature in her illustrations & stories, inspired by everything sweet and charming about this lovely world in which we live.
