TGIF: Thank God for Illustration Friday – More color full art

FacebookTwitterPinterestTumblrBookmark/FavoritesEmailPrintFriendlyShare

This is my final installment in my series about  illustrators who depict people of color in their art (here + here). Last month, I had a  reader named Alexa who asked for some help in finding illustrators who have some diversity in their work. She likes artists like Belle & Boo, Hide n Seek & The Black Apple and was looking for artists with somewhat similar styles. I must say it’s been quite a challenge and I’m somewhat disappointed in my results. I just didn’t find as much as I thought I would.

So, I need your help:

  1. If you know of some illustrators who portray people of color in their work, comment on this post. All hues of human are acceptable! ;)
  2. If you are an illustrator, consider creating work that’s a little more diverse and sharing it with me, I’d love to be able to do some more posts on this topic.
