TGIF: Thank God for Illustration Friday – More Diversity in Illustration

Here’s a continuation on my series of  illustrators who depict people of color in their work. One of my readers asked me to help her find some artists who have a little diversity in their work, so I’ve been on a treasure hunt. Here are some more of my finds and Alexa, this post is for you!

I will be sharing more artists in the upcoming weeks, so if you have any recommendations, please leave a comment.

Wow, these are amazing. Thanks so much!

Slov is adorable! Tascha’s work is super-interesting and colorful. Maya’s art is so full of love and family. I loved The Extent of Silence before but Sarah Jane Studios is definitely my new favorite! Her work will look amazing on my niece’s wall. I absolutely love them all. (:

I’ve decided to start emailing my favorite artists and encouraging them to increase the diversity in their art and praising those that already do. I really really appreciate you helping me, Jen. It means a lot! <3
