Cori Dantini – Cori considers her work to be something called a mixed media painting and also likes to think of them as her attempt at a visual poem. You can see more of Cori’s work in her two Etsy Shops. Here and here.
1. How do you describe your work?
I consider my work to be something called a mixed media painting. Not sure if they’re even is such a term, but it IS what I call them. I don’t feel like they are a true painting, because there is ink, and watercolor and acrylic paints…as well as collage elements. So, mixed media painting it is!
*I also like to think of them as my attempt at a visual poem.
2. What are your inspirations in your art and life?
My inspirations… words. I love fragments of ideas. I feel the fragment opens up an idea, perhaps taking the idea to a place that was never intended (not what someone else has in mind for you).
3. What do you do to help feed your soul?
How do I feed my soul? (I probably don’t feed it enough). But I suppose it feels the best when I am in good company having loads of fun, laughing, listening and goofing around. Mostly laughing. And it does like a quiet walk too.

Stephanie Nance – Artist Stephanie Nance uses a variety of materials to create bold illustrative pieces inspired by wildflowers, road signs, and the traditional still life. Her work is charming and is equally at home in modern or eclectic settings. The textures, patterns and strong color palette seen in her pieces are distinctly American, but have garnered her an international following. See more on her Website, in her Shop and on her Blog.
1. How do you describe your work?
My work is colorful, illustrative and simple.
2. What are your inspirations in your art and life?
I guess I’m a flower child of sorts. Botanicals really catch my eye. I am intrigued by their complexity and natural compositions of the bundles of flowers that grow. I love old Americana as well…signs, travel trailers, etc…anything with a past.
3. What do you do to help feed your soul
I see live music, have “porch time” with good friends, and find that getting on the road, out of town is always refreshing for my soul.

Laura Bentham – Laura is a UK illustrator who also works as a junior graphic designer/illustrator. Her work can be found on her website and on her blog.
1. How do you describe your work?
My illustration work is unique by using interesting use of line before applying different textures which are often layered together to create unusual pieces, some of which look screen printed. I like to create work which is hard to ever repeat again, making it original. I started drawing and entering competitions since I was in primary school and knew design would be my career and hobby.
2. What are your inspirations in your art and life?
I am inspired from everyday life, looking at what people enjoy and how their mood changes. Fashion and interiors are a great way to look for inspirations as these say a lot about a person’s personality and what they enjoy around them. I also hoard lots of old memorabilia which is great to look through for ideas and inspirations and gets me thinking.
3. What do you do to help feed your soul
To really encourage my thinking and design, apart from researching to buzz my creativity, I like to get away and sit in the outdoors and just draw and come up with loads of ideas, and turn my long lists of words into visuals.
Yes, I love them… They are so creative and unique…
OOh, love these–especially Stephanie Nance’s orange!
