Art Star recap #1

As I told ya last week, I went to the Art Star Craft Bazaar in Philly this Saturday and as promised I am sharing some pics. With over 100+ vendors, it took me about 4 1/2 hours to see everything…okay, and talk to a lot of people as well.

For the next couple of days, I will be sharing some of my very favorite stuff and some of my very bestest pictures.

I almost bought one of these stuffed penguins from Miaow for Mr. Indie Fixx, but I thought he might not appreciate it enough and then I’d have to abscond with it and I have a plush problem as it is.

I also loved these stuffed birdies, all in a row,  from Miaow.

I just adore the pottery of Tasha McKelvey and she is a real sweetheart as well!

I especially liked this Yellow Ginkgo pot from Tasha McKelvey.  It called out to me to make it mine, but alas it wasn’t meant to be.

So, I am a big fan of chez-sucre-chez, as I am sure a lot of you are as well, and I find it’s always so nice to get to meet makers of stuff I like in person. I bought one of her cross stitch kits…the little owly one on the right.

Sharing a booth with chez-sucre-chez was Spread the Love  and I also made some purchases there as well…two wooden homey postcards. I’m going to frame them and hang them by my front door.

I would like a whole set of the skully pattern from Folded Pigs, please? (for sale at Art Star)

I went to Art Star with my friend Laura and we both cracked up over the little figurines from Andrew Zangerle. Especially this set. We pretty much decided that these were the perfect ones for us.

I loved Andrew’s sign!

As well as this drawing.

That’s it for today. I will share more tomorrow and on Wednesday.

  1. Thanks so much for the fantastic round up from Art Star! As a vendor, I was not able to leave my booth for very long, so I missed out on seeing a lot of these amazing artists. So glad to see them here!
