Thanks to all of you who have taken time to complete my Annual Reader Survey so far (don’t worry there is still time to complete the survey and tell me what you think of Indie Fixx – you have until June 1st).
Anyway, the survey is just one part of my plan to freshen up things around here over the next couple of months. I am planning on a little face lift, nothing Joan Rivers drastic or anything, just a little nip & a little tuck here. I will finally be upgrading to the latest version of WordPress (the software I use to run Indie Fixx behind the scenes) and will take that opportunity to update the look a little as well as add some new bells & whistles that will now be available to me. Hopefully, I will be able to do something with my categories, which have gotten quite out of hand.
I will also be adding some new features and taking some of the less popular ones away. Your survey responses have been really helpful in that respect, letting me know you like and don’t like as much.
I am also planning on updating my about page and changing my tagline (currently ‘Your fixx for indie style and design’)…neither of which has changed since I first started the blog in 2006! Indie Fixx has definitely evolved over the years and neither my about page or tagline adequately described what goes on here now. The focus of Indie Fixx has expanded and grown to include other things that interest me and that complement the indie world and I want to make sure to better define what it is I am doing.
So, look for a fresh face (but not completely new) as well as some new content as I continue to redefine myself and Indie Fixx! This work isn’t going to happen overnight, but will take me a little time to implement. I just wanted to make sure and let you know so you can look forward to the change as I look forward to bringing it about.
