More TGIF: Thank God for Illustration Friday art faves from my Twitter followers. Today’s artist is Mattias Adolfsson and was suggested by angel*treats.
I really like his Floating Building Series, which can be seen in his Etsy Shop. They remind me of several different movies and books, but the titles totally escape me. Can anyone help jog my memory?
You should totally follow me on Twitter, btw. I chatter incessantly over there about lots of random stuff!
*** edited: The Adventures of Baron Munchausen is one of them. Thanks to Heather from Skinny LaMinx!

On Monday, I will hopefully share some pictures from the show as well as what I purchased. I plan on buying one little thing from as many of the 100+ vendors as my wallet will allow. I wanna do my part to support indie!

Simply effortless & sophisticated is how I describe Danish designer Sofie Ølgaard’s debut collection. With classic silhouettes and a minimalist palette her designs are modern, but with a certain reminiscence of fashion years past. She is clearly influenced by her Scandinavian roots as well. Sofie debuted her collection at GenArt’s Fresh Faces in Fashion in San Francisco in October 2008 and her collection is also for sale on her website. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

My friend bloggy friend Marichelle from Heart Handmade told me that she is hosting another Shop Live event over at the Etsy Virtual Labs today, May 28th at 7 pm EST.
For 30 minutes, Marichelle will be sharing a curated mix of goods from Etsy sellers. She has been in cahoots with all of the artists and together they’ve come up with a special listing/item specially priced just for this live sale event. Sounds like fun to me, so I will plan on being there and most likely making some purchases!
The deets:
When & Where? This Thursday, 7pm eastern standard time @ Etsy Virtual Labs. You must be a registered Etsy user, so please make sure you have a username and password.
Who? Marichelle from Heart Handmade and participating artists include: Art School Girl, Brooklyn Rehab, DrikaB,
Lamixx, Cicada Studio, Tree Fox, Fern Animals, SusyJack* & Local Library among others.

Who knew tees could be so droolworthy & sexy? At least the tees from Denitza are so. Conceived from the paintings of the namesake artist, they are truly wearable works of art. Although, they are not direct representations of her paintings, but actually fragments, which is more interesting, don’t ya think? You can see some of Denitza’s artwork here as a comparison.
A few of my favorite designs include: Bling, Silver V, Blvd. E & Tile.
