I’m recuperating today from a late night out last with my home slice Laura. We went out to dinner (the worst dinner I think we’ve ever had), a concert (the Los Lonley Boys. I’m not a big fan, but they were really good) and drinks afterward. Needless to say, I slept in! Even though I may be dragging a little bit today, I have a contest in the works for you! This is another weekly contest and it’s for a stone&honey pinwheel necklace. Stone&honey is the new venture from Teresa of smallthings and features stunningly ethereal pieces fashioned from Brazilian agate and delicate metalwork. I think they are just gorgeous!

    What would the metal work look like in gold on this piece?? I think more of the gold on the aget would come out, almost like looking into a sunset.

  102. ANCHORET is probably the one I would most likely buy if I suddenly became rich. The flat metal cutout has a nice flowing movement to it, and the contrast between it and the color of the stone is beautiful.
