Each week I share some of the shops from the Indie Fixx Galleria, a monthly juried showcase of indie shops. You can read more about the Galleria here.

This week’s highlighted shops include:

Kristin Perkins Glass Jewelry – Kristin discovered her love for creating jewelry while in high school in 1984 when she took her first class in jewelry design, focusing on metal fabrication.  Her contemporary style is inspired by the natural beauty of glass and her belief that its fascinating properties should be the focus of her work. By making glass beads in clean, colorful geometric shapes and keeping her metalwork clean and simple, she strives to create jewelry that makes a statement with vibrant color and bold design, yet is easy to wear every day.

Piggy-Tails – Piggy-Tails the shop is all about being cute and simple! Piggy-Tails came about after always having a hard time finding cute children birthday party invitations that weren’t based on popular TV shows and characters. Piggy-Tails specializes in coordinated birthday party packs, which include invitations, thank-you cards and gift tags. They also carry an assortment of cards and stationery. Customizations are always welcomed!

Haru – Haru’s designs are a celebration of beautiful paper and forgotten books. She likes books that were loved by the previous owner, books that have been in someone’s library for many years, books with personalized bookplates and/or handwritten name and dates. Nature, friendship, memories and positive intentions inspire her designs.  Save 10% off your purchase when you mention “indie fixx galleria” in the “message to seller” box during checkout. Wait for an updated invoice prior to payment.

Carolina Cottage – Melanie of Carolina Cottage’s motto is: “If it will hold still long enough, I’ll cover it with paper!”. Melanie enjoys making unique, useful home accessories, such as wood trays, altered cigar boxes and marble-tile coaster sets. She uses the centuries-old technique of decoupage, but in a fresh, new way. She loves searching out new papers and trying new techniques and find inspiration in pattern, colors, sheet music, fonts & typography.
