Last week I asked for some illustrator suggestions for TGIF: Thank God for Illustration Friday promising to share some this week. A good number of your suggestions were for illustrators I’ve already heard of and have even featured on the blog before, but a couple really stood out, especially since I’ve never heard of them before.
First off, Amanda from Bellazoo recommended that I check out Audrey Kawasaki’s work. Seductively sweet & melancholy girls with bedroom eyes are the mainstays of Audrey’s work and I may not be able to resist the temptation to add a print or two to my collection.
Also, Beth from Freshie and Zero (one of my all-time favorite jewelry artists) wrote me about Cindy Tomczyk (Etsy shop). I really like Cindy’s Lady Deer and Sister Rabbit prints on matte paper and from original drawings with gouache. They are super sweet and charming.
Yay Cindy T!! She has some new things in her shop that are on my Christmas wish list!
Wonderful art from both artists. Thanks for sharing, now I have found two more artists to add to my favorites!
I love the stylized hair.
I’ve loved Audrey Kawasaki’s work for a while now. Oiran is one of my favorites. Her prints always sell out immediately. Someday I’ll have the luck to snag one.
Thanks for sharing these artist. Very nice art.
