Is it possible to be both a free flowing spirit and educated, high class creator? The proof is in Layla’s creations, collectively titled ledthread. Raised in Arizona and tempered in Los Angeles, Layla eventually found herself in Brooklyn. Living by the sea with her dog, Daisy, Layla’s creative side began as “more of a dreamer than a maker.”
Using vintage and cast-off fabrics, ledthread is uniquely influenced by Layla’s degrees in Poetry Writing and her studies in Film Theory. Visually stunning and physically comforting, ledthread currently features ethereal floral patterns, refreshing ruffles, and classic patterns that will always work in your wardrobe. In addition to her own clothing line, Layla also freelances for open-source sewing site BurdaStyle.com. Her works for them include pattern creation and sewn samples. For an inside peak the mind and life of this nonpareil designer, visit Layla’s blog on Vox.com here.

Sorry about that, Layla! Corrections have already been made.

Gorgeous clothes and very nice review, Victoria! Just great that it’s good for the planet, too. We’re too much of a throw-away society, and people like Layla can help save us.
Ah hi! Thanks for noticing me. Just a few corrections, though… My VAN is Matilda, my daughter is not of this earth as of now. And I never did finish that degree in Film Theory… xoxoxo L
WOW! These are some of the most beautiful clothes I’ve ever seen! Awesome find!
