I don’t know about you, but I love, love, love big bags. My father told me to always be prepared and I take his advice quite literally. I stuff my bags so full of stuff, I am like freakin’ MacGyver. The only problem with all this preparation is that I can never find anything in my bag. Everything seems to fall to the bottom and I feel like a very disorganized Mary Poppins when pulling everything out of my bag to get to the one little, teeny, tiny barrette in the bottom of the corner of the very last pocket in my bag.
My solution to this over-preparedness big bag problem? I am plan on having a bag full of bags. My sewing kit, safety pins, thumbtacks and double-sided tape (one never knows when one will have to repair a hem, hang a poster or do a craft project while out running errands) can go in one bag, while my hand-cream, 12 lip balms, mineral makeup and hair smoother can go in another little bag and well, you get the picture.
I think these little drawstring pouches from Uplifting Arts fit the bill perfectly. Plus, there are coordinating wallets and tissue cases.

…small swiss army knife, measuring tape, calendar, camera…
I’ve had to resort to the two purse method on occasion. I think becoming a mom made it worse. 🙂
Glad to hear that I am not the only “bag lady”.
Ha – I do exactly the same thing! I have bags of pills, bags of toiletries, etc..
